How to reconnect your Facebook account
When authorizing Life Happens Pro to post on your behalf, Facebook generates an access token for Life Happens Pro. This access token is only valid for 60 days, after which you will need to reconnect your Facebook account to generate a new access token.
To make this process easier for you Life Happens Pro will automatically renew your access token when it is over 30 days old. To do this follow the steps below.
- Log into Facebook.
- Log into Life Happens Pro.
That's it! As soon as you log in to Life Happens Pro it will automatically renew your access token. You should see your access token listed as Valid on the Facebook tab of your Social Media Profile.
If the access token is listed as Invalid you can manually reconnect your account to generate a new access token. To manually reconnect your account follow the steps below.
- Log in to Facebook.
- Navigate to Social Media > Profile in Life Happens Pro and click on the Facebook tab.
- Click Remove Facebook account. You'll see a pop up asking you to confirm that you'd like to remove your Facebook account. Click Remove account.
- Once your account has been removed you can add it back to generate a new access token. Click the Add a Facebook Account button.
You should now see your Facebook account listed as Valid on the Profile page. Any Pages you manage on Facebook will be listed. If you do not see any Pages listed click Update Pages to refresh your Pages list.
You're now all set to continue using Life Happens Pro to publish posts to Facebook.
